Geoffery North his brother writes: Bob did well at school both academically and at sport. He was particularly good at cricket opening the batting, with Raman Subba Row coming in at No. three! He then went onto Oriel College Oxford studying languages (French and Russian) before joining ICI. He finished his career as Head of ICI Russia and received the OBE in 1985 for Services to Industry (see photo left at Buckingham Palace.
He is married to Joyce and has three daughters, Jill, Carolyn and Louise, seven grand children and one great grand daughter.
